Dr. Di Shi is an Associate Professor at New Mexico State University and the Paul W. and Valerie Klipsch Distinguished Professor. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cyber-informed engineering for resilient and efficient energy systems. Dr. Shi has authored over 170 publications, holds 42 U.S. patents, and has received 11 Best Paper Awards. He serves as an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and IEEE Power and Energy Society Letters.
In addition to his academic career, Dr. Shi is the founder of AINERGY LLC, a technology startup dedicated to developing AI-driven solutions for power grid optimization, resilience, and security. He also leads major research initiatives, including a $6 million NSF EPSCoR RII-FEC project, and is committed to advancing the practical deployment of AI innovations in the energy sector.
