Jason Bengtson is an academic, developer, technologist, author, and experienced library IT manager.

The author of numerous publications on library technology, Bengtson has deep interests in areas of digital humanism, semantic technologies, artificial intelligence, and intersections between Complexity Science and Information Science. Bengtson has recently been experimenting with Large Language Models through inference operations and selective fine tuning in an examination of their potential for utility with complex, structured metadata production, building on his exploratory paper on Schema.org metadata refinement.
